Gulfstream Live at Tipitina's, NOLA on March 14 1987 with Go Ahead!

 

We were the lucky ones when my friend Lance needed an opening act for the great band Go Ahead, comprised of members of the Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Santana and the Youngbloods. It was a no brainer for us to grab this gig, although as I recall it did not pay much! But what a treat and bonus to get a board tape of our show, even though we were the mere opening act. And of course the antics we had with Brent Mydland and Bill Kreutzmann from Go Ahead, who were like local fixtures in the uptown New Orleans scene, hanging out at Benny's Bar and Le Bons Temps Roule. Thanks to Lance, Chopper Charlie, Zak, James and Brian -  and enjoy these (ancient) recordings!
